6 Things to Keep in Mind While Building Your Wedding Day Timeline - For Couples

One

Be mindful of the sun. If you are wanting photos outside just try to remember what time the sun will be setting depending on what time of year your wedding will take place.

Two

Talk about whether or not you two want to do a first look. This is a really personal decision. Take time to think about it.

Three

Schedule hair and makeup one hour before you think that it should begin. Make sure your bridesmaids have an idea of what they want for hair and makeup – this will save so much time that could be spent making memories.

Four

Keep all the details in one place for the morning of your wedding. The last thing you want to do is be panicked and stress sweating on where the heck your teardrop earring are.

  • DRESS

  • SHOES

  • VEIL

  • HAIRPIECE

  • BOUQUET/BOUTONNIÈRES

  • RINGS

  • JEWELRY

  • GARTER

  • PERFUME

  • LOVE NOTES | GIFTS

  • VOWS IF WRITTEN

  • HEIRLOOMS FOR PHOTOS

Five

Keep in mind travel time between venues. Give yourself an extra 15 minutes to get to where you are going – don’t forget you are in wedding attire.

Six

If you are getting married in a big city or busier area, check to see if there are any events, festivals, sporting events, or concerts happening on the weekend or day of your wedding. For example; if you'll be sharing your wedding day with an Ed Sheeran concert, just try to allocate a little extra time for travel.

There are so many more tips that I can give to our couples when it comes to this part of your planning process. So if anyone needs any assistance in putting together their wedding day timeline, you know where to find me!
