Dani + Jaja's Intimate Elopement

A styled content day

I know it is going to be hard to believe based on the content below but this intimate elopement was 100% scripted. Zach and I had approached our Instagram family on the search for two models comfy with nudity and willing to get fake married for the day. Dani and Jaja had never met before and as true professionals, we never would've guessed it if we didn't know better. They really embraced our vision and we are so thankful for these two and their willingness to be in front of the camera together.

Our goal for this styled content day was to highlight that a wedding day does not have to be a stressful event that causes debt, itineraries, and lots of moving parts.

You're allowed to wake up next to your future husband or wife on your wedding day.

You're allowed to get ready together on your wedding day.

You're allowed to wear what you both want to.

You're allowed to ditch the expensive venue.

Moral of the story : you're allowed to do whatever the hell you want to.

Part one

We really wanted to show our future couples that the superstition of not seeing your partner on the morning of your wedding day is, well... bullshit. I was dreading the fact that I wasn't going to get to fall asleep or wake-up next to Zach on our wedding day. He's my best friend and the fact that everyone was telling me we couldn't be together was honestly annoying. So, we said screw it. I guess if our marriage is cursed because we spent the night together before we said our vows - so be it. We encouraged Dani and Jaja to walk around Findlay Market together so we could grab fresh flowers for Dani's bouquet which ended up being a really special touch to the day. The two of them picking out their own florals added beautiful sentiment.

Part two

This was part of the day that I added because selfishly, I wish we had incorporated this into our own wedding day. We couldn't think of anything more intimate than helping each other get ready. Jaja getting on one knee to help Dani put her heels on (which are the heels I wore on our own wedding day) seriously are some of my favorite photos. I can still feel the moment with them. It was incredibly special.

Part three

Zach and I were driving around the city when we stumbled upon City Hall down past Plum Street. The architectural design on the face of this building was incredible. It didn't feel like we were in this little town in central Ohio. It felt like a statement and we couldn't unsee the vision we had for a couple standing in front of the grand rod iron that encased the front of the building.

Part four

Despite how steamy these photos feel - the loft was really all belly laughs as we just vibed and ate cheesecake. I was not wanting to get a regular or traditional cake as once again we wanted to highlight how unconventional is absolutely allowed.

The one thing I really want our future couples to take away from this segment is that these two still shared a first dance. I can't emphasize how important this one little gem of a tradition is. It doesn't matter where you happen to be or whether the music is coming from your phone or vinyl - just do it.

We really hope you enjoy this vision we were able to bring to life!

Enjoy.
