A Historic Wedding Venue Showered in Florals

The first thing I noticed when we walked into Emily + Mike's wedding venue located in Columbia-Tusculum, the amazing smell of fresh florals rushed over us. There wasn't one specific flower we could pin the scent down to - it was just pure floral bliss.

Typically it is eucalyptus but Emily + Mike's florist had a plethora of Lillies, hydrangeas and pink roses. It was really like nothing we have seen or smelled before.

There is something very special about a scent on your wedding day. So whether that be to have a real bouquet of flowers or to splurge on a new perfume scent - smells and memories are intertwined. It can be one of those simple things that you think back on and are grateful for.

We personally did not have real flowers at our wedding and I can honestly say that is one of my biggest regrets, especially the relationship I have now with flowers, gardening and my indoor plants. We did end up purchasing new perfume / colognes for our day and that is something I am thankful we did. Now for special occasions, Zach will wear that cologne and it really brings me back. I love it.

The Carnegie Center is beautiful with its natural and historic elements but the pops of color from the floral design throughout - really adds to the architectural detail etched into the space.

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to document all of the memories that take place inside of these walls.
